Adorn the Table | The Modern Centerpiece

For curious minds & visual seekers, ultra-modern centerpieces are my tablescape inspiration for this week.

What I love most about an ultra-modern centerpiece is the sleek and strikingly artistic elegance it brings to a table and / or event. To get this look, it would be best to use mono or dichromatic florals displayed in a minimalistic manner. (When I say minimalistic, I mean by using a few blooms or by using simplistic containers.) Your centerpiece can be symmetrical or asymmetrical; structured or not. It is truly up to you, the designer, to craft your vision into reality because it is what you do with the florals that will transform your centerpiece into a piece of art.

Here are a few ways I prefer an ultra-modern centerpiece to look and what I hope will help with your florspiration.

Real Weddings | Erin + Michael

I don't think I can say this enough...
It was an absolute joy working with both Erin & Michael as well as with their friends and family. It isn't often that you come across such humble, down-to-earth people who care about each other as much as they do. Not only were they an absolute pleasure to work with, but they were also on top of their game every step of the planning process. They knew exactly what they wanted: from design and floor plan to food and music. Their complete readiness helped me make their wedding wishes a reality.

Erin + Michael's wedding had a rustic chic flare, which was perfectly complemented by Blomgren Ranch in Santa Clarita, CA. Not only did the ranch offer ample space for their intimate ceremony and twinkly market-lit reception, but the ranch also provided a quaint western town - ideal for interactive photo-ops.

I hope you enjoy the collective photo pieces from LMariePhoto.

Real Weddings | Amy + John

I love multicultural weddings that incorporate details from both the bride and groom's heritage. This wedding was picture perfect and truly inspirational for the bride who is planning a destination wedding. To those who are unaware, destination weddings doesn't always mean it's a vacation spot. A destination wedding can be a place away from home. In this case, the bride was living in Tokyo while planning for her D.C. wedding to her Filipino groom. Influenced by modern Japanese style, partaking in a special Filipino dance, and hosting the wedding in a historic Washington D.C. venue are all perfectly personal details that make this wedding ever so lovable.

Wedding Inspiration | Paper Flowers

 photo 6fbce55e-f6e9-41d7-b127-82363ed10c5c_zps99f9734d.jpg

Spotted!

Paper Floral Artistry's hand-crafted and gorgeous artwork in homes, photobooths, wedding venues and commercial spaces across the US and in cities abroad.

Balushka, owner and creator of Paper Floral Artistry, meticulously designs each paper flower (big and small) with a keen attention to detail and an homage to the real thing.

Why are we inspired by Balushka & Paper Floral Artistry?

We absolutely adore her use of color, texture, and the way she incorporates geometric shapes into one of a kind pieces that are, at least, equally as beautiful as a fresh flower -- honoring their beauty and graces.
